I received my ticket the other day, however reading the posts above it has just struck me that I have only the one ticket, and there are two of us going in the car.
Do we need a ticket each? Or is it simply for the car?
I’ve had a look at the Goodwood website, but there is nothing obvious about this.
Edit. I guess I had a senior moment and didn’t read the page properly, and ordered one (assumed mistakenly) pair when I should have ordered two tickets… Oh well.
Got my tickets BUT…
am I right in saying that these are tickets ONLY to the “Moving Motor Show” and NOT the Festival itself???
The ticket appearance seems to indicate this and they are vastly different from the ones I already have fort he Festival of Speed on Sunday ??
If that is the case I cannot use them so anybody that wants them AND is going to the festival already on the Thursday please pm me

So can you please double check that these tickets do indeed give access to the entire Festival event as in the past the Moving Motorshow has been a separate item within the main event .

The moving motor show is the Festival of Speed but for Thursday’s part of the full FoS event - lots to see and do, pretty much access all areas but there is no timed racing up the hill - its just mainly dealer demo runs.
If you already have Sunday Tickets and now Moving Motor show tickets you can go both days Thursday (MMS) & Sunday (proper FoS racing)

The tickets that you receive are for entry to Goodwood on the Thursday - they just happen to call it the Moving Motorshow for that day and you enter as normal, showing the tickets you received from the club at the entrance gate

The Moving Motorshow is the name given to the Thursday of the Festival of Speed - you get to see pretty much everything that is there over the whole weekend and can go to all the manufacturers stands and get up close with the cars there for the show.
There are a few things that are just for the Saturday and Sunday that you won’t get, but in my opinion the Thursday is pretty much the best day to go as you can see everything and not have to wade through the pandemonium of the weekend crowds - if you are lucky you might be able to even blag a passenger ride up the hill from theMoving Motorshow Pavillion as all the manufacturers who have cars running will have teams in the moving motorshow pavilion.
In answer to other questions every person needs a ticket to get in the gate. All the first batch are gone until Soft Top Hardtop arrives, then the remainder will be released, that will be sometime in the next week.

If anyone has a spare ticket then I would be interested. My MX5-owning friend from Japan (who is a paid up member of the OC) is thinking about coming to the UK during this week and would like to go to the FoS with us. If someone has a ticket but they can no longer attend, or you have a spare second ticket, then please get in touch.
