Have I got a mohair or vinyl roof?

I agree with what most have said, and what Nigel says, get it dry and get it treated.

I bought mine and it had condensation on the inside, a bit of mould also inside, vinyl roof though. I let it dry completely and cleaned the mould away and treated the outside with a product can’t remember which and all was good, never leaked. I later replaced it with a mohair roof and did exactly the same clean/waterproof and that was always dry inside.

I’ve ordered some renovo cleaner and proofer  so if we can get some dry weather next week I’ll try getting this sorted.

Did you get the Soft Top reviver as well?

My black mohair roof was quite faded and I used the Cleaner, then Reviver and then Waterproofer

Brought the top up like new.

+1 on what Dipstick says. The Reviver really brings back the black when faded.

I have just popped home and checked and the roof doesn’t seem either hairy or plastic.  I would class it as cloth… So I am not proper confused on what water proofer to buy lol

Yes, the factory roofs are cloth and not actually mohair.
