hazard lights going when car is locked, is it the immobiliser?

 Sorry to sound like a panicky female but my beloved car has a problem!

When I lock the car using the key fob the hazard lights keep blinking. I have checked that nothing is left on and tried locking and unlocking the door but it keeps going. Have resorted to locking the doors with the key so the battery is not drained. Any ideas?

I live in south east London - so you can probably understand why i don’t want to leave the car without the immobiliser on!

Which MX-5 have you got? Sounds like a fault with an aftermarket alarm/immobiliser to me.

I have found a sticker for P.D.A.L. Security on my window. Can only assume that they fitted an alarm or immobiliser.Have tried phoning but no answer. Anyone ever heard of them?

Will probably need to have old system ripped out and new one installed - any recommendations in the south east area?
