Been looking for a fun car again after 25+ daily drivers. Was initially looking for an ND2 but after trying one at my local dealer, realised that I am too fat to fit in one. I am pleased to say that I purchased a late 2011 NC2 from Paul Vaughan at Prestige Vehicle Consultants Nr Stansted, Essex. It is a limited edition Sport Black (no 413) in Pearl white with original dealer decals and Black Powered retractable roof. It has Bilstein dampers and LSD and only mods are Smart controller for roof and IL Motorsport rear silencer. Mileage is only 19,500 and the condition is excellent as it has been wax oil undersealed. and garaged from new. I shall continue to garage it and use it as often as I can.
I had an RX8 back in 2004 for a year or so which was very, very thirsty but had four seats, so the kids fitted snuggly in the back. Now I am retired and fed up with ADAS-centric taxis (yes doing schoolruns for grandkids now!) in a well-appointed but totally boring Tucson. Hopefully this brilliant MX5 example will satisfy my desre to drive (proper cars) again and join a community of like-minded people.
