Just a quick post to say hello, before I start with the questions.
I have been in the club for several years, and had a MK2 since just before the MK2.5 hit the streets. Now that the MK3 is about to undergo a face lift I am now finding myself more and more tempted by a MK3.

As Zippy says, there are some excellent buys out there on MK3s just now - do some homework, and you’ll get the rewards.
Interestingly, MK3 prices are falling below MK2.5 in some cases…

Yeah, if i didn tneed a family car as my main id probably be looking at a mk3 myself with the deals that are about.
As it is im keeping two cars for me

I have thought about a MK1 but cannot
find one with the power retractable hard top [;)]
Until someone works out how to retro
fit one I will have to settle for the the MK3.
