I’m trying to rebuild the history of my 1996 Mazda MX-5 Gleneagles in Montego Blue. I bought the car in March 2025 and I’m currently restoring/preserving it properly, but it came with very little earlier paperwork or history.
From the records I have, I’m the third owner and I’m trying to piece together the car’s story.
Registration history:
• N131 FHE (original)
• N2 EAC
• N131 FHE
• N9 OWO (current)
The car still has its original Gleneagles interior and originally had its Gleneagles wheels. Prior to me owning it, it also had a front A-frame/towing bracket setup and a caravan dealer rear plate plinth which may help someone recognise it.
Does anyone recognise the car, remember seeing it at meets/shows, know previous owners, or have old photos, adverts or forum posts? Even vague leads would be appreciated.
