Hi from Hull UK

Quick hi.

We’ve been looking for an MX5 for about 6 months and finally bought one today, a 97 Dakar with 64k on the clock, loads of history and a hard top.  It has the odd small dent and scratch but I’ve done the 'garage queen ’ thing in the past and wanted a car we could enjoy without worrying and spending more time polishing than driving.

Can’t drive it this weekend as the insurance won’t be sorted until Monday but was fantastic on the test drive.

I’ve been lurking on the forum for a while but this seemed the right time to say hi.  We have been to a couple of local club meets in the past and plan to start going regularly.  The Spring National will also be a cert as it is so close to us.[:)]

I have one problem with the electric aerial that I need to fix quick so please take a look at my one other post and let me know if you have any suggestions.

 Cheers for now,

Welcome to the club, and the forum.

I totally understand what you mean regarding a car that you can enjoy without worrying about - there are times when I’d rather have a clapped out 10 year old hatch, simply because I could park between two cars in a carpark without fear of door dings, or worse…
Instead I’m forced to find a space at the end, or go to a bit where nobody goes (until I park there - then they seem to park right next to me???).

No doubt you’ll have many thousand happy miles (in the next week?)…

G’day mate, Welcome to the Forum

greetings folks

Cheers

Ben

Welcome to you both [:D]
