What’s the best route to horshoe pass from the north west ?

The classic route up they shoe’ is from Llangollen, about 10 miles from Wrexham, my home town.
Probably A483 from Chester exiting either Ruabon then Trevor,
or at roundabout signpost Chirk the A5 to Llangollen, this way you go through town, turn right over Dee bridge the left towards Ruthin, going up Horseshoe pass
Both nice routes, I’ve cycled and driven both many times
Ponderosa cafe at summit of Shoe is a Mecca for motor-bikers
Nice drop and rise to roundabout towards Ruthin, left to Corwen/Bala and straight then left down long hill to Ruthin with more choices
