I’m literally annoyed I’ve only just joined the MX-5 party and missed out on all these years I could have been enjoying them! ![]()
No, 11 years old, and in a modified car with more power and torque. I bought a later 12000 mile one from a breakers for £750. Probably about £12000 fitted all in with a new clutch and the other bits and pieces. The first major mechanical, so not too disappointed.
That is epic.
Did your MX-5 morph into a Lamborghini Muira?
Maybe for a few minutes in my head ![]()
The thing is, the thread, highlighting the virtues of being an MX-5 owner don’t really correspond to being ‘lucky’, as the type of pleasure we gain, would maybe be alien to 99% of the pubic. They, or at least the majority of them, probably wouldn’t feel ‘lucky’ if they owned one; it’d be simply a car they chose to use as, a car, even if it is the same as ours.
In the same way, on a ‘hot tub’ forum, folk may be describing how lucky they are, enjoying a hot tub and all its glory, whereas I, and I’m sure others, would think it is anything but lucky. I guess anyone could think they are lucky enjoying a hobby. I’d probably say I was lucky if I had something not readily available, say the QB talent of Patrick Mahomes, or the sprinting ability Usain Bolt used to have, or looked like Sean Connery in Dr. No etc etc.
