Hi all,
I’m in the process of fitting some new seats to the existing seat rails in my Mk1. I’ve got a little stuck though as I’ve managed to get a bolt through the bottom half of the rail but I can’t get it back out. Not quite sure how I got it in there but its definitely not coming back out! Before I fire up the angle grinder and cut it off, is there a way of separating the top and bottom parts of the rails so that I can simply pull the bolt out?
A photo may explain what you mean a little better.
get a photo on here first for us to look at theres only four bolts and you must slide the seat rail back and forward to see them, i dont know if you have cross thread it show us a photo
Don’t worry, I cut the bolt off in the end. I’d taken the seat sliders off to fit a new Corbeau seat and the bolts for the seat are different to the original Mazda ones and go in a different place in the slider, hence the bolt getting stuck. Anyway, like I said, I cut the bolt and all is well. Thanks for looking
