I clayed, polished, hoovered and took Molly Out!

I took her out today over rochdale, rawtenstall, haslingden, rammy and back to bury and spotted another Mk1 J3RTM? in rammy.  Loved the wind in my hair with windblocker behind and the fresh air  and all the strange looks, people thinking is it not too cold, errr no, nice coat, heater on brilliant![:)][;)][:D]  Paintwork does need a respray though, its showing its age now.

So Tracey, you’ve got all your car problems solved now then?

I think so, the garage has tested it thoroughly including tightening fan belt and doing battery level checks, they want me to come back in few days just to check again, but this afternoon its over-revving a little, just needs a tune up, the battery is ok, new terminal fitted, fan belt tightened etc and earth in engine ok and he did not charge me either which was very good.  I have just ordered some more bits from autolink, like screws, battery brackets.   etc etc.  Just won a pair of headlight covers on ebay in gloss black to replace the ones that are marked on my car.  £30 the pair.

You sure picked a nice day to take you’re Mark 1 out Tracey, sounds like you had fun!!! i took mine out early this morning and got a few mad stares too, pity those tin tops[:D]

He he!

Yeah, was some fantastic weather yesterday! Had a great drive home from the in-laws, nicest day we’ve had since I got the car by a long margin! Didn’t even need the heaters and that’s a first!

Then when I got home, didn’t want to go inside, so sat in the car with book and laptop for a few more hours. Turns out the '5 makes great patio furniture as well! In the sun /and/ comfy seats! Marvelous.

Lol he he

I did this too yesterday tea time!

Was glorious like a Summer evening so after having spent all day lovingly cleaning and polishing my car, i peeled the roof off and sat there for an hour in the courtyard outside. Sat in the passenger seat and just stared at the dusty blue sky above me in the lovely warm air. All the while admiring my handy work by taking infrequent glances in the nearside wing mirror at my shiny paint work[:)]

Although i’m sure my neighbours must think i’m slightly bonkers! mind you i’m the only one on my block with a convertible[:)]

The 5 does make a great piece of outside furniture lol, in fact in Summer i’m going to sit in my car and catch some rays, who needs a sunbed he he!!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one. Maybe we can start a trend!

That said, I’m mildly concerned I’m going to get funny tan lines from it. Or more likely, tanned down to mid torso, and pasty legs…
