Before I start the install I want to be sure I have everything required to finish the job. I am seeing contradictory statements regarding the requirement for a primary O2 extension. The manufacturer of the manifold have confirmed that no primary O2 sensor extension is needed. However various posts of people who have fitted it state they had the primary O2 wires extended.

Does anyone know if the primary O2 sensor harness wiring needs separating from the vehicle loom in order to free up some slack? Or did you use an extension harness? O2 extensions seem very expensive in the UK. If the cut and extend method is required, I also heard the stainless steel wiring is very difficult to solder and specialist crimps are required?

If I recall correctly the wire harness has a retainer bracket which can be turned round to allow the wire to reach the boss on the new manifold. There is plenty of scope to do this and no extension is required. Do you intend to move the second sensor to after the secondary cat? If so you will need an extension for that.
