Is 90k a lot of miles?

I bought my mk 2.5 VVT sport with 94k on the clock.
This year I’ve been to Spa and Le Mans on each trip doing about 800 miles and used no oil.
Now trying to sell it with 108k, with difficulty.
Regular oil changes are the key.

I think you need to get the odometer looked at as well, sounds like its going backwards

Indeed. Mine gets a diet exclusively of Mobil 1 full synthetic New Life 0w-40. It even cured the slight hydraulic tappet noise it had in cold weather when I first got it.

Doesn’t use any oil between changes.

Breathing a huge sigh of relief today as I managed to get it at least a temporary reprieve from death by tin worm and a fresh MoT. All for less than the price of a decent crash helmet.

Eh? 105000 when bought, a new belt after a year at 107000, a further 7 years at about 2000 a year. 105000 + 2000*8 = 121000.

Or am I missing something?
