It will be a sad day when I say Goodbye

Well, after much thought, we have decided to sell the 5.  I have little choice as it just isn’t practical enough as I need a bigger boot and I have been quite anxious in the recent icey weather in the early mornings.  Unfortunately we are not able to pack it away until the weather improves and I will miss it loads if we eventually have a summer.  So, next week, we will send it away for something more sensible (and for fear of emabarrasment I’m not going to say what we are getting!!).  I hope that when we get permenant accomodation, we will be able to get another as a summer/weekend car, but until then, I’ll have to dream!!

Can’t be much fun, still, I’m sure your; Skoda, Hyundai, whatever you’re embarassed to say won’t be too bad!

 Sorry to hear this.

Ive sold up 3 times but keep coming back as I think I have these in my blood.
Hope you have a chance to gat a again soon.

Cheers
Jonathan

Hi Ottey

huge shame, [::(] but when “needs must” but as previously stated once bitten…?

Thanks for your comments guys. I am reluctantly counting the days til it goes -had a bit of a blast in it today which was fun and reminded me why I bought it in the first place. I have a Silverstone track day to look forward to (in an Exige) but things won’t be the same!!

Will you stay in  touch through the forum or be brutal and make a total  break?

Whatever, best of luck and hope you get back to fun motoring soon.

I’ll still be here as I’ll still need my fix of all things 5!
I’ll keep my picture up as well, just to remind me of the brief good times!

Well, today I said goodbye - the garage wasted no time in re-advertising the 5 - it will be interesting how long it sits on the forecourt.

It is strange driving a sensible car- there is nothing wrong, its quiet, good visibility and better fuel economy and BORING.

Still, the 5 nearly bit me in the bottom as I did a 180 in the frosty start the other day so practicality wins at the moment.
