I've polished the Roadster!

Since it may never be as clean again I thought I should put some photos on the site.

It is a Mk1 1.8 V-spec Roadster manufactured in Oct 1997 and first registered in the UK Oct 1998. One previous UK owner and done 58,000 kilometers (36,000 miles). I’ve had it about 4 months now and well pleased. Originally bought as the second car but now use it most days to commute to Northampton (42 mile round trip). Intend to keep it fairly original although I’ve now added a K&N filtercharger. Also want to fit some chrome rings to the instruments (MX5Parts do a nice vintage chrome set) if it’s not too difficult. Glad to hear from anyone else who has done this.

Cheers

Mike

VERY VERY NICE and SUPER CLEAN[H]

 Ditto [Y]

Hi Mike!

A man after my own heart!

I’ve tried to keep my Mark 1 all original too, the only thing i’ve added apart from the usual restorative measures are indeed those chrome vent rings from MX5 parts and they really do add a touch of class to the interior without looking garish!

They are super easy to put on, just clean the area around the vents of any dust or dirt and then peel off the adhesive backing on the rings and attach, hold in place for 15 seconds or so and job is done! they really are an essential item i reckon and the ones i got cost about 15 quid IIRC from MX5 parts.co.uk.

Nice shiny motor there by the way! very nice[:)]
