Just bought my 4th Mx5

Hi All

Just purchased an Mx5 on Friday past. A nice 2005 “Icon” edition.  Had to travel down south for it and it drove beautifully up north and certainly put a smile on my face. This will be my 4th Mx5 in my lifetime.  It has one or two minor issues that I will fix in the spring.

1 - Electric Aerial is stuck (Any suggestions on possible replacements)

2 - Rear window does not heat up

3 - Drivers heated seat does not work. Passengers side is ok

Other than that, very happy with the car.  I noticed that the car has an MX5 Owners club sticker on the window and wondered if it previously belonged to anybody still active on here.  It would be great to hear from them if they are.

With regard to the faults -

  1. Check the plug hasn’t come loose in the boot.

  2. Check the plug hasn’t come loose on the rear deck.

  3. Check the plug hasn’t come loose under the seat.

42 years of working for BT taught me that however major the failure was the first two questions to ask should always be, is it plugged in?, is it turned on?

Managed to fix items one and two without any haste. Aerial just needed a bit of lubricant. Rear window was not plugged in properly!! :man_facepalming:t3:

I have also had a bit of time to fit this pioneer unit which I am really happy with.
