Just when you think you've seen it all

M1Stang; all metal kit

This will surprise most; a Japanese 1:1 replica using a Eunos Roadster

The interior still has a few MX-5 parts left

Upfront, a V8, in the wrong place for a Miura/

At the back, a fake V12

The same company makes a slightly awkward looking replica of the Toyota 2000GT

But they refined it a little

Love the Mustang and find it quite hard to believe it’s an MX-5.

Why oh why though did they feel the need to put a fake V12 in the Lambo!

They made a Lambo from an MX-5, the WHY Oh WHY has left the building a very long time ago.

Why not? Much cheaper than buying a Miura. I suppose then the entire kitcar market is pointless.

The MX-5 itself is a bit of a pretence. The original model was designed to look like a Lotus Elan. The exhaust was tuned to sound like a MGB. The engine was restyled to look Italian. We’re all living a fantasy by owning a MX-5.

What’s unique about the MX-5 is that no other car has inspired so much customisation. None. And I’d include those Ford-based Hot Rods in that opinion, considering all the different directions MX5s have gone in.

Obviously Ferrari inspired conversions are well known.

This Pitcrew is one of the more legendary Pitcrews out there

Hate to say, the the Aston & Frogeye just about get a nod from me…. Frogeye minus absurd alloys. But fair play to folk to do them…after all…many, I guess, may have had solid serviceable running gear but see- through bodies. Just a bit of fun…not harming anyone after all.

I’m not usually a fan of a Pitcrew but that one looks fab. Looks like an interesting setting in the first photo too.

I like ALL of those, in particular the Corvette and the Sprite. :+1:

Fake v12 in the back… At long last, a solution to my weight distribution problem…
