I have a pronounced knocking around n front drivers side of car which stops when brakes are applied. Brakes have been stripped and checked by qualified mechanic but can’t find anything wrong. Had new ball joints fitted and suspension is OK. Recently had chassis arms repaired when car was resprayed
Running out of things to try.
Have you inspected the drop links?
Thanks for that… I will check
Could be front wheel bearing. Jack up wheel and rotate to see if it’s running rough.

Thanks, I will check that out. I did hit a big rock a few weeks ago so it’s a possibility
Run-out on the wheel that hit the rock??
Is the knocking consistent with speed, does it speed up or slow down with the cars speed.
1 post wonder…hope owner is OK.
Been a while!

Pleased to hear you got the problem sorted, but this is a worry if it turned out to be a loose caliper bolt
Result, good to know you and 5 are fine too.
