Hi everyone,

For those who have registered and paid their deposits for Laon Historique 2026, James Wickenden will have sent you an email with an online form to complete.

Please complete the form and submit it, with the required information a.s.a.p. to SCCT.

A point to note; where the form asks about attending the rally at Bethune, a couple of us have said yes, as spaces are limited and will be allocated on a “first come first served basis”!

Hi

I am a member of North Thames based near the Dartford tunnel in Essex and I’m a member of the MX-5 owners club .

Thinking about doing this trip to Laon , can anyone from another area join you ?

Rob mackenzie

Hi Rob,

Yes, you would be most welcome to join us for Laon Historique 2026. As per the forum post, give James Wickenden a call and say you wish to be included with Solent Area and James will ensure you are included in our group.

Mal

Hi Everyone,

If you are attending this event, you should have received, a couple of weeks back, a reminder email requesting you to pay the balance to SCCT and also complete your travel details for both driver and passenger.

Please ensure you pay the balance and complete the travel information. It’s a simple process and the SCCT Admin Team are always there to help.

Hi Everyone,

For info, I asked James Wickenden at SCCT if he would book a table for us all to have an evening meal together, in the IBIS Laon, Winchester Grill, on the first night in Laon, as his French is better than my schoolboy French

James has kindly done this for us and has booked a table for 16 of us that have booked via SCCT, at 7pm.

If possible, it would be good if we could all get together for this evening meal, so we can socialise in a relaxed atmosphere and welcome members from other areas who are joining us for Laon Historique.

Please let us know if you are joining us for this meal, by replying to this post, as we know some are staying in other hotels and may not wish to travel to the IBIS Laon.

Meal Attendees on First Night at IBIS Laon;

  1. Mal & Serena
  2. Roget & Lynn
  3. Howard & Julie
  4. Mike & Karen
  5. Sandra & Kevin
  6. Ash & Pat
  7. Roy & Roy’s friend David

Kind Regards

Mal & Serena

Hi Mal,
Lynn and I will pop up and join you, thank you.
Am wondering whether we need to buy the toll sticker: what would you advise please?
Best wishes
Roger and Lynn

Hi Roger,

That is great news:+1: That’s spooky, as I was talking to Sandra and Kevin about the tag and figure it will be a good idea. I will have a look online and check it out and post an update on this thread for everyone to see:wink:

Best Regards

Mal

Good morning Mal,

Please put us down for the meal.

Thanks, Mike & Karen

Wow, that was quick, I have already had several responses to my evening meal post and we are up to 12 members already :+1:

To this end I have inserted an “Evening Meal attendees list” in Post#30 on this thread, so I can track who is joining us for evening meal

Hi Everyone,

I ordered my EMOVIS tag yesterday for the toll toads in France and the ordering process was very stright forward. For info, I have posted a link to order a tag below;

Just make sure you tick the box for driving in France, you need the Emovis Tag Liber-t. This electronic tag allows you to use automatic toll payment lanes (marked with an orange ‘t’) on almost all French motorways and in many car parks, avoiding queues and the need to stop for payments.Vehicle Limitations: The Liber-t tag is suitable for vehicles under 3 metres high and 3.5 tonnes.Availability: Specifically for UK residents, ordered through Emovis Tag UK.Alternative: Do not use the VIA-T tag if you are only visiting France; that is for Spain/Portugal.Usage.
