Currently have cloth seats in my MK2 but the driver’s side seat is starting to look a little tatty. I am thinking of either buying some leather seats or getting the cloth ones covered in leather. Any advice on where to buy and what I can expect to pay would be much appreciated. I live in the Huddersfield, West Yorkshire area.

Dave, I had the whole of my interior done out in two tone leather by thecartrimmers in Redcar, not so far from you. It cost about £920 but if you want the seats only it would start at around £400. The service was good and they sent samples in the post prior to making an order deposit

I had mine recovered by gary on ebay,i think he is in coventry ,he collected them and returned them within a couple of days finished in two tone,i think they cost about £470.00 incl fitting.

I got my interior from the car trimmers in Redcar was black and yellow seats and door cards. They do a fitting service for around 75 quid and you can sit with a cup of tea and watch some DVDs while they fit them for you. Good quality and good customer service I was more than happy. Get yourself on ebay and bag yourslf a set of mk2.5 seats. A massive improvement on mk2 seats. I got mine for £300. They are a direct swop and require no drilling etc.[H]
Depends how tall you are. The Mk2.5 seat base is higher than the Mk2 so you sit at least 30mm higher
True but i’m 6ft and 15 stone and don’t have a problem with them.
