We never had any shortages during previous outbreaks. It won’t be a case of 65 million people being immunised in one go. Vaccination will go on for more than a year. The Pfizer shot is two jabs, 4 weeks apart. Its high unlikely that priority goups 8 thru 11 will get this Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

Back then, people queued, maybe all day. Now, we’ll probably get a text with an appointment and place to go, or even select a time convenient to you. Some vaccines might be delivered by aerosol, or through a needless syringe.

Thanks for that. I think you’re probably right, it should be manageable - in theory at least. With large numbers of people to treat, an exhausted NHS workforce, reliance on technology (some people not having a phone), getting all the ducks in a row will still be a challenge. Sorting out PPE and the NHS app certainly has proved problematic. The phrase expect the unexpected comes to mind…
