Light steering, less toe

  1. My model of MX-5 is: __Eunos
  2. I’m based near: __London
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on:

This post isn’t so much of a technical question, its more of an opinion sharing post.

Based on one of my earlier posts, I wrote about having my wheels set up so my Mk 1 Eunos would ride straight. The garage did a number of alignments which included adjusting the front ‘Toe’ which made the steering feel tighter and not so wobbly/twitchy.

Most might think i’m a bit weird but i actually preferred it when the steering was lighter (so got the toe set up to its pre adjusted state). I find it gives the car a more rugged fun ride and lets the driver feel the swing of the car when taking corners.

Does anyone share my opinion on this or is it confirmed that i’m a weird driver ?

Thanks

Positive toe promote stability, but is harder to flick the car. What numbers are the right numbers would depend where you use the car and what for.

Also depends how much caster you have

Just casual enjoyable driving

thanks
