I own an NB Mk2. I am seeking an MX-5 specialist in order to identify work required, in order to preserve it,. Extend its life for the future etc. I am hoping there will be members who can recommend a specialist not too far away from where I live in Bath.

So, I’ll try another tack. Has anyone used the services of SGH & Sons Bodyworks in Bristol? If so, would you recommend?

You could try the MX-5 restorer, I think they are near Southampton or nearby that area.
Someone I know on another forum is currently using someone in South Wales, is that too far for you?
He is very pleased with their work so far. I have asked him for the name of the company.
He said that the company is SJ Engineering in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, which might be too far, but also might be worth it?

Merthyr is 90minutes away, so certainly doable. Thanks for the heads up. Still wondering if any other Members may have used SGH.

SGH did fantastic work on my 2.5 Icon, I highly recommend them.
The MX-5 Restorer is in Pevancy which I believe is East Sussex.

Do a search on the forum, select the magnifying glass symbol and search for “SGH”.
Thanks everyone. Getting the picture SGH look like a good choice. Better for me to find someone relatively local. After all, I would likely leave the car and need to find a way home to Bath.
