Hi, I’m Steve and have been a member for nearly a year now and drive a black 1997 Classic in the Gatwick area. I’m keen to meet up with any MX5 enthusiasts in the Gatwick area and go for drives. I drove down Brighton a couple of weeks ago and there were lots of MX5’s down on the front and on the way back I had a bit of a burn up along the M23 with a guy in a yellow MX5, it was good fun, I turned off at Gatwick and he kept going whoever you are?

plus quite a few others of us RH drivers. Are you going on the Valentines run in February going from Chartwell. Good place to meet locals AND it’s always a good turnout.
OR…there’s the Egg Run going from Box Hill to the Royal Marsden in Sutton and then onto The Grasshopper at Westerham. Once again, always a good turnout and a great route.

Really appreciate your reply, nice to know there’s some local enthusiasts, I’ll certainly try to get along to either the Valentines run or the egg run, it would certainly be good to meet up with you, I actually live in Horley so would be good to get to know the rising sun and mad4mazda. The OC meets monthly near Crowborough and also near paddock Wood, both sensible driving distances from you.
And dont forget the big Brighton Run this coming Sunday.
I am thinking about coming along to some of these events… don’t know anyone with an MX5 sadly… I’m near Redhill. Brighton might be a good idea

Welcome I live in Horsham I’m Pete Drive a Merlot, Brighton would be a good idear to meet many members, The west sussex side meet at the Crown pub in Dial Post on the A24, every 3rd weds of the month for a nosh and natter come along and join us.

Check out the South Central area as well. They sound like the’re just south of Birmingham but in fact they meet ay Normandy on the A25 about 30 miles from you. (They should be called the Central South Area !!)
Because the Club puts you in an area according to your post code it’s not always the nearest or most convenient. I only "discovered " this group a few weeks ago and will certainly be joining in events this year.

Im in Redhill too, and have had my Mk1 a couple of months now. Me and da boss were thinking about going to the Normandy monthly meet and anything else thats going on in the area, would be good to meet up! Our local is the home cottage, it’s a bit ‘special’, but within staggering distance of home :O))
