Lop Sided Car..

Hi… i have a strange issue where my car is slightly lop sided… The drivers side is about 18mm lower front and 12mm rear than the passenger side. I recently replaced all the shocks and springs so it leaves me wondering and the slope seems to have only started since then… I have also had all the suspension geometry checked by Holbrooks in coventry and they couldnt see any problems other than its lop-sidedness…

This could be a number of issues but wanted your thoughts?

The car handles fine, but with the added weight of my fat arse in the car,  the passenger side the cars definetly a bit lop sidded Smile So id like to try and even it if possible. Iv had a  number of suggestions for possible reason which include…

Worn bushes? (10 years old bushes but seems wierd it would wear so much on one side… Can the bushes cause 18mm difference on one side?)
Irregular springs? (Ive been reliably told that springs like almost deffiently not be cause this especially on one entire side unless i got very unlocky)

I am pretty sure the drivers side is extra low as well and the passenger side is correct, as i have spoken to others with the same springs and they seem to have the clearence my passenger side has… Soo i am opening it up to suggestions…

I believe that just about every '5 out there has some discrepancy in ride heights left to right.[flack jacket on[;)]]

As far as I can tell, no one has  come up with a definitive answer as to why.

A mod was proposed on the old forum to insert washers under the top mounts [can’t remember the details now]. My car has a 10mm difference, always has had this, three sets of shocks and 4 sets of springs and a complete new polly bush set…go figure
