As above I have a 20031.8 sport, I am lead to believe that there may be two types of LSD or at least two manufactures of LSD fitted to the mx 5 sport if so how can distinguish which is which and what oil goes in which LSD.

due to a recent issue i had with my LSD on a 2003 MK2.5 Sport i have been doing some searching on this and it turns out that prior to 2003 the MK2.5 had a torsen lsd fitted. In 2003 this was changed to the super lsd that is now employed in both the RX8 and MK3. Cant help on oil etc but just some finding that may be helpful
Oil should be SAE90 GL-5 Spec for both applications.
