Leave Melton on the B676. Keep on this road all the way to Colsterworth, then take the right at the roundabout and follow the road to Bourne.
Be wary of the average speed cameras for the first few miles out of Melton.
Great road, ideal for motorbikes and nice handling small cars like the MX5. Please be considerate through the various villages.
Whilst at Melton I like the B6047 from there to Market Harborough, plenty of twisties and a chance to drive our cars the way they want to be driven. Sadly sometimes the pootlers hinder progress.
The road between Melton and Harborough is excellent. Used to commute it everyday but it got busy. Moved to Oakham and now use the back roads to Melton when I can which is great fun.
Dad lives in Bourne so have done this to. It’s generally a great b road area and reasonably quiet roads with good surfaces.
Took my brother out late last year, he followed me in his Porsche Spyder and was really impressed with the roads and my 5s capability.
