This is something I’ve be planning for while. Can someone please clarify the fixing situation between the Zunsport and the Lockwood. Do they both clip over the existing plastic grill or does any of them replace the OE grill?
I like the idea of a birthday/Christmas present [8-|]
The MXicanS have a close working relationship with Zunsport as they use our cars for templates, they are also in our area and a lot of us have used their services. Yes they do fix over the original grill, so easy to fit & remove. If you would like to use them, quote our special MXican 20% discount ZU042010 at checkout.
Happy shopping & remember, for fun add a little MXican!
To add - grills onto mk3s are easy
Grills on to mk3.5s less so plus it will depend which spec you have/will have.
If you have an SE, say, it’s one shape but if you had/have a Sport Black then you’ll need another. Also it will depend how the number plate is fitted as to ease/difficulty.
Mine sits beautifully but my other half have up due to the pop rivetting.
Zunsport fit perfectly and simply clip over. Excellent delivery service and with hindsight i think i could have had club discount if I’d bought direct from zspt I added a couple of clear wire ties “belt and braces”
Lockwood" pair are fitted in about 20- 30 minutes, you will have to make sure the blots on the upper mesh grill “line up” and “centre” if your anal about these things, but anyone with a thumb and forefinger can do it…though I suspect my wife couldn’t…but then I don’t think she would bother in the first place.
I think they are great on all the cars above!..getting a stone into the rad would be bad and expensive, these grills are functional and attractive.
