Here’s a thought for you - the 1.6 Block is reputed to the best to Turbo, with less bore , the sidewalls are stronger. Figures of 200 bhp are entirely possible. How that block mates up to a 1.8 clutch and gearbox I’m not sure, something you’ll need to check. I do know of 1.6 blocks making up to 240 BHP, but the suspension and brakes need some attention.

Gearboxes are the same, and a 1.8 clutch can be fitted to a 1.6, use a 1.8 flywheel. Or just fit a 1.6 clutch.
