Quick question, does the double fog light switch out of a Mk2 Mx5 fit into a Mk1? Wanting to free up a slot in the dash as currently have front and rear fogs on different switches.

Yes, I believe that the double switch has the same form factor as the rocker switches.
It is just like the heated rear window switch found in auto Mk1s.
But to wire the rear fog lamp switch in you need a latching relay, the switch itself doesn’t latch in the on position.
How about the front fog half, guessing if one doesn’t latch the other doesn’t either?
The front latches I believe. All about regulation the rear must switch off after each ignition cycle to prevent people driving around with them on for weeks.
Ah OK, makes sense. Guessing it’s an easy install providing you have a relay to hand?

You don’t say what you want to free up a slot for, but there is a combined switch for the front fogs and HRW if that might be an option.
