Mk1 NA Headlamps - different types?

Hi folks,
I’m hoping someone would be kind enough to let me know what the deal is with the headlamps on the Mk1?
I’ve just got hold of a second hand replacement for one of mine which has a crack, but the bracket/reflector and lens looks different, along with the screw holes in different places.

Is it wrong or just a different manufacturer?

Do you know if I should change the other one to match as a pair?
(car is a '92 Eunos)
Thanks!
Chris

The headlamp used is a 7" bowl headlamp, in use since the 1960s. Each manufacturer will have their own lens design, claiming various lighting advantages. In the day, Cibie was considered one of the best. Your used replacement appears to have the retaining ring stuck on it. Is it a sealed beam?

Generally, yes, replace headlampsin pairs. These days you also have the option of freeform lamps, where the glass is clear, and the beam deflection is set in the reflector. Generally thse lamps are polycarbonate.

I had enough of these freeforms, after 10 years, and witched to what I think is the best conventional lamp, outside of a Cibie (which is pretty much unobtanium now); Lucas LUB328s.
