Mk2.5 OEM Strut brace question

Ive got hold of a OEM mazda strut brace as fitted to sport models.
Unfortuanelty I can’t get it to fit on the drivers side due to it
clashing with the metal thing that protudes near the clutch fluid. It
only just gets in the way.

Is it easy to move the metal thing at
all as its very rigid? Don’t mind trying if its easy but don’t want to
mess anything up if its not straight forward. Cheers Mark

Maybe the model it came off had A/c or something, that meant what is hitting the brace, was located slightly differently

You have tried it both ways round, haven’t you

Is it fouling the brake master cylinder? mxdrew had this issue. Sport models have a thinner single diaphram servo than 1.8i’s, this poistions the master cylinder further back allowing for the fitment of the strut brace. I think drew ended up fitting the Sport servo.

Yeah, it won’t go on because of the brake master cylinder. It clashes with it but only just, Didn’t realise the sport model had a different cylinder.
