Hi I have a 2002 mk2.5 sport & my shocks are black ,was this the standard on this year or should they have been blistein ,car first registered March 2002 ,data sticker on inside of drivers pilla says suspension sports s .thanks in advance
Sounds correct, Bilstein’s didn’t come along until 2nd facelift. I think ‘Sports S’ is Sports Soft. Bilstein is described as Hard IIRC.

It will say Bilstein on the production sticker in the door frame and they will be yellow or rusty by now.
