I’m getting my 1993 MK1 back on the road and it needs new rear springs (they’re broken, classic MK1!). If I’m going to the trouble of getting the rears off then I thought I might as well do all 4 corners and try to get the best setup that is a reasonable price. With this in mind I’m looking at getting some used standard MK2 complete struts and cut a coil off so they’re like stock MK1 height, or a set of used Meister R, preferably Sportives or ZetaCRD. Not looking for MK2 Bilsteins as I hear they’d end up too stiff for the MK1.
So, there’s the situation - has anyone got anything that fits the bill for sale? Thanks.
