Iv’e recently bought a MK3 having previously owned a MK1, Mk2 and 2.5, however I find the visibility over the dash poor, as I am only 5ft 4" tall. Does anyone know where I can buy a height adjustable driver’s seat. I live in the West Midlands. Many thanks Carol.
Some later Mk3s have them - Mazda may well be able to sell you one direct
I enquired - sit down and make sure you are calm before I tell you how much - around £1500 per seat + fitting!!!
Get a cushion.
Jim
That is a crazy price for a seat! So the two seats at £3K are worth 20% of the value of the total car? Madness.
Hi
You can try fitting washer under the rear seat MOUNTS this will raise the REAR of the seat. Log on to www.miata.net for further details
I have done this with my Mk1 drivers seat. I removed the two rear bolts from the seat mounts and loosened the two front ones so that the back of the seat rises about 20mm, this is about the maximum it can be lifted and still fit a longer bolt in to hold the two rear mounts to the floor pan. You will need a 20mm spacer or penny washers to make up the space to 20mm. The thread of these bolts is a metric diameter but the thread length is different to any other bolt on the car. I bought mine from a Fiat dealership who checked the thread for me and gave me the correct ones. The only reason I did it was because I had knee problems and this eased the problem.
