that’s better
If you are kicking off with around 30PSI from cold, in this weather you can end up with 33/34PSI
It won’t help at all irrespective of what tyre you use.
The words over-light & skittish spring to mind.
Just an opinion…from ten years of fiddling with 5 pressures!
So on a 7.5J with a 225 tyre what would you recommend I start with from cold
Experimentation is the key.
I’ve got a Mk1 & a Mk2.5, but all 5’s are sensitive wee beasties.
NCs are an unknown to me.
No reason against kicking off from say26/ 27PSI cold to “gain” 29/ 30 odd PSI hot.
Equally this will vary with ambients.
Just fiddle around till you feel you have a compromise.
The only thing (unlikely by now in your instance) is the old twisted bush syndrome. Plenty in forums to read about it.
I doubt very much BBR would let that one go past them.
Thankyou for your advice, I shall do just that…
front bushes were check for the dreaded twisting but thankfully mine are fine… clearly BBR are aware of this problem when lowering these cars
