Hi Mick,
Yes as you noticed mine has the aluminium trim as standard but I’m just trying something different. The True Red Anniversary has the Red dash and rollover covers.
Hi Bl0at3r, no not yet, it’s not finished. I still have to add another top coat and then lacquer the panels but that will have to wait until the weather gets a little warmer
If you want to see red dash panels fitted on a Mk3 look on mx5 parts under clearance mk3 and click on eye ball air vents enlarge picture and picture no two is a great shot of red interior dash panel
I never removed as I bought additional to paint and so if I don’t like them when I’ve finished I can swap them out. Having said that they are easy to remove. There are two screws under the radio console and can hidden screw above the glove box area. If you remove the glove box (30 second job and no tools required) and reach up you will feel a screw head, this must be removed first.
Thanks Dal, I’m tempted to give it a go at spraying mine a different colour, after having glossy black plastic interior in my Corsa for two years and realising what a pain they are to keep clean I fancy something else!!
This is how my dash looks, i had it sprayed, it is easy to get in and out, i got mine out in about 10 minutes,
It isn’t gloss its stain, and i know its not going to be to everyones taste but i think it just breaks up the black dash, im also going to spray the hoops behind the seats the same colour.
This is how my car is at the moment from the front, its been lowered by about 40mm but sits nicely on the wheels
I’ve just noticed your in ‘Clare’ (no silly comments, required, it’s a village in Suffolk) my mate and I always seem to end up going through ‘Clare’ (stop it at the back) when we do our Sunday morning breakfast run to Wallys in Acton.
