yes, this item would replace the original brace bars.
tho it is possible to fit and keep the original bars if you finesse it but you really don’t need to
I fitted that exact one on mine and it fitted perfectly,
I suspect the guy complaining that it was off had warped his subframe or chassis!
What’s more, this brace will stiffen up the rear of the car and make it feel much more solid!
It’s one of those items that you don’t know you needed until after you have it! but once you have it you will never go back kind of thing!
I fitted one brace in the boot to stop my tin-top creaking, absolutely loved the difference, and ended up fitting the whole chassis brace set! and loved it even more!
