Mot test day ?

Well Uma’s passed her MOT with a little welding on the rear nearside sill (usual place on a MK1)

and Finally sorted out the great cat or non cat debate

She passed without a cat on a 1.8 engine because shes a 1993 import not a uk car so the cat stays off from now on…

annd after spending an 30 minutes laid on my back in the melting snow last thursday to refit the Cat…what a waste of time…[:@]

So umas up and running and will be at all the shows and blating around a track near you all year again.[:D]

Unless I stuff her int a tyre wall [::(]

And she was the most powerfull Normaly Asperated 5 at a recent Yorksire ridings Dyno day.

Chuufed all round

Nice one Alan

I always find it a relief to get MOT day out of the way [:D]

First one due at the end of Jan and its like having some sort of exam looming over the horizon. As a long time company car driver you forget the stress of the MOT, let alone getting a 17 yr old through one. I know I’ll be worried all day - might even have to go and sit in the garage reception so I can watch progress and get the news as it breaks!

Good result Alan, it bears out what I said in the faq re the emissions

What is the big advantage of no CAT , other than the fact that its expensive to replace. ?
