I still think their first album was their best, later on they became too American.

Lots of stars playing on it, including Noel Gallagher, I’m surprised that it was his type of thing.

Me too. Anything with Billy Gibbons on it has to be worth a listen I reckon

I have a few of the original Fleetwood Mac albums and even though the “later” version was very good, to me The Mac will always be Peter Green. Years ago I went into a record shop to buy Fleetwood Mac at the BBC and the shop assistant warned me that “it’s not the normal Fleetwood Mac you know, are you sure?”

Definitely, have you tried this?

Certainly a complete change in direction with the Buckingham/Nicks combo arriving, and of course, from that point, the rest is history well told…!

Not been around on the forums much recently as it’s just been one thing after another! (latest thing is my clutch has started slipping!)
However… chilled music on a bank holiday Friday definitely makes me feel better!

Variety is the spice of life I have been finding of late. Youtube, for all its sins, has introduced me to Hu, Dead South, Derek Truck and Two Cellos among many others over the last couple of years. For an introduction to the appreciating art of Mongolian throat singing, this is struck me as quite a powerful little ditty by Hu and Lzzy Hale -

And now for something completely different…

And for something completely different - Louis Jordan and his Tympany Five

I’ve been a music collector for over fifty years, and have thousands of LPs, musicassettes and CDs of numerous genres in my store.

One album I keep going back to on occasion is Miles Davis “Kind of Blue” - with John Coltrane on sax, before he became really really famous - brilliant !

Yep that’s one of my favourites, Although at the moment I am listening to the Buena Vista Social Club album on Spotify. It always cheers me up when it’s obvious that the performers are really enjoying themselves.
