Those guys are totally nuts, love it!

Just got into The Magpie Arc, folk rock with Maddy Pryor and Ian Anderson thrown in for good measure!

New to me, I like!

I have been rekindling my love of “Berlin School of Electronic Music”/Kosmische Musik recently - there is still quite a bit of this genre being produced today by musicians. I recall listening to Tangerine Dream’s “Phaedra” for the first time on our Boots portable stereo record player, lying on my bedroom floor with the speakers either side of my head (couldn’t afford headphones back then!). When I used to order an LP from the local record shop, if it was a bit ‘weird’ they always knew it was for me!

Not quite sure if I like this, but it is certainly different and strangely addictive, make sure the speakers have a nice smooth bass to make the most of it.

Hon No2 daughter showed it to us at lunch today (if you like superb vegan etc try the Gate in Queen Caroline Street)

Check out the interesting fret positions on the dual-neck Bass + Guitar

I’m off to their concert in October with my youngest daughter (she’s 50). I’ve got all their albums too.

The semitonal necks give the ability to play quarter tones, which a standard 12 fret guitar can’t, that’s why the music sounds so different. They’re certainly very talented musicians and I like the style.

They are getting plenty of coverage with ‘reaction’ videos on YouTube. “Khn”, the guitarist, certainly knows his way around his looper/effects pedals - one Yter pointed out that he was loading up ‘ghost’ riffs while other loops were playing. You could say his feet are the third band member!!!
The two AdP albums are a bit easier on the ears than some of their previous music!
I think all their shows sold out almost immediately - will be interesting to see what “Vol III” brings…

They’re doing the same as Brian May did in the 70’s with Brighton Rock.

He used a Copycat and looped the guitar sequences.

Ed Sheeran does the same…

Hall and Oates sax parts on Maneater…

Different take one an old theme:+1:t2:

I’ve had a good listen to Angine de Poitrine too.

I like it, but not quite enough to press the button on physical media purchase.
