MX-5 ND buying advice sought

We have all those in the NC as well as a generous glove box.Dont know what Mazda where thinking, same complaints on the 124 Spider forum as its the same interior.

Drivers side cubby in soft top is big enough for an SLR with reasonable lens and charger.

Where the jack would go fits a bottle of wine.

Amazon.co.uk (or similar) is enough to store a couple of CDs and a pack of tissues.

You can get a set of luggage from Mx parts especially designed for mk4. 3 cases fill the central part of the boot.Managed Blackpool to Zel am see in Austria via Belgium and Germany and back.

Yup, that’s what I was referring to. Will check them out the next time I remember. For the gearbox TSB, I will check the car as the one I put a deposit down still has a manufacturer’s warranty until March next year.

Hah! I love the fact that you’ve described the size in terms of an SLR camera! I love photography so I now know where to safely put the camera when I’m driving

So I’ve put a deposit down for a 16-plate MX5 ND 1.5 SE-L (soul red) and collect it on Monday  It’s done 15k miles and still has a manufacturer’s warranty until March 2019! It doesn’t have a sat-nav SD-card so I’m budgeting for the £350 android-auto retrofit in the next month or so.

I drove it for about 20 minutes and couldn’t believe how amazingly refined the car felt (in terms of road/wind noise) in comparison to my 10-plate MK3.5 NC 2.0 Roadster-Coupe!

Generic picture of the car from the autotrader/dealer advert below -

This will be my 2nd MX-5 and it feels slightly bitter-sweet to be handing over my MK3.5 car on Monday

I had some great times with it - highlight being driving along the Furka and Grimsel passes in Switzerland in 2016 - some memories for my deathbed that trip was  A couple of photos below -

Thank you to everybody for their advice  No doubt I’ll be posting more pictures when I get the car and look forward to driving it!

Well done, I bet you can’t wait!! Great photos of your Mk 3.5, that looks like the sort of trip I would love to do. Would be interesting to hear your feedback when you have had chance to do a few miles on your new toy.
