Zero chance of my garage washing my car when it goes in which suits me just fine. Independent garage that does the job properly for a fair price. What more do you want.
I agree if you have a trusted independent available. I value the official Mazda service record at least whilst under warranty. When we sold our previous NC, a full Mazda service record was important to the buyer and I wonder how high it figures in filters when potential buyers are searching on Autotrader. Of course, you have to balance the higher servicing cost against any premium (if any) you gain on selling the vehicle.
