Mx5 Mk2.5 Brake Discs and Pads Replacement

Thanks Mate!

Makes me feel a bit more confident  Thumbs upSmile

Finally fitted the brake pads today, they were indeed the correct ones and fitted perfectly:

New pads installed

The intention had been to fit these last weekend but instead I choose to stay in bed with 39.5 degrees fever Sad

Since then the rest of the family caught up and have gone through the same thing the last couple of days. At least it isn’t contagious through the forum  Wink

I would classify this as an easy DIY job. But of course everything is easier with hindsight Stick Tongue Out

Did you also do rear ones?

I am also doing it for the first time and have problem with one of the pistons in the rear does not want to retract when using the allen key mechanism.

Should I open the cap of the master cilinder when I am doing it?

Thanks,
Seb

Sorry mate, I only did the fronts. But yes, the cap should be off the brake fluid container while pushing the piston back in.

Maybe check these two links for tips on the rears?
