Out of interest, do you know how the crank sensor was tested? Was it checked for a switching output?

Thanks Rob: I don’t know how or if the sensor was tested, but I do know that it was replaced and various settings within the .020-.059 tolerance tried. I hope to make progress after things return to normal tomorrow and to get this wretched problem nailed at last. Two options are: getting the ECU/mobilizer tested and trying a replacement ECU/mobilizer/key set. But any other suggestions very welcome.
