I have just joined the club after buying a new Mazda mx5 mk3 coupe, I love the car its fantastic to drive, only problem I have is the seats, short journeys are fine, seats give great support, but after 50 miles I need to stop because of back pain. I believe the problem for me is caused by the seats being fairly hard, and the lumber support digs into the area of my back which I have problems with.
Has anybody been able to upgrade the seats to Sparco seats, the Milano model for example, or can anybody suggest a replacement seat with maybe memory form, not bucket seats but reclining.
The only manufacturer I know of that uses memory foam is “Bride” (I’m not saying there the only one, Its just I haven’t seen anyone else that uses it). A lot of people rave about how comfortable there stuff is, Here’s a link to there site, Just make sure your sitting down when you look at the price list !!!
Now I’m confused, I read a company profile about Bride in a car magazine a while ago, The reason I remembered them mentioning memory foam was because I thought that this might explain there high price.
I just spent 30 minutes trying to find which magazine it was in.
I’m now wondering if the profile was about the UK distributors or the Japanese manufacturers, But I would assume if the Japanese manufacturers make it, Then the UK distributes would know about it even if they don’t stock it.
I’ll get back on this thread when I’ve found the magazine (It’ll be here somewhere, I don’t tend to throw them out).
I have a different problem and hope someone can help me. The bolster on the side of my drivers seat is worn and I’d love to get a seat cover for it - the covers are removable. Has anyone replaced their fabric seat covers with leather and have the original cover available? I have a 2007 mark 3 and the fabric is the standard black fabric.
