The straw that broke the camel’s back? 37ft/lbs = 50nm ? I believe that the max. torque on the 1.5l was about 150nm, in which case that’s a whopping 33% increase! I’m not getting into the why’s and wherefore’s, they’re beyond me, I’ve just repeated what was being said and it was noted at the time that the vast majority of the reported gearbox problems were on the 2.0l model.
