If you paid on a credit card, I would recommend you look into a Section 75 claim.

Several years ago, I bought an S2000 (used car dealer) which developed a major fault within one month - threatened the seller with a section 75 claim and he agreed to pay half the repair cost.
Last year, I bought a laptop from eBay which turned out be security locked - didnā€™t notice until the eBay protection period had expired. I made a claim with my credit card company and they refunded me!

I have just had a fantastic experience from their parts department. I purchased some wiper blades in March this year and the rubber on the passenger side blade has split. I emailed them at 9.00am this morning and by lunchtime they had emailed me, apologised and despatched a replacement to me. Well done MX5 Parts.

Iā€™m happy to hear you had a good experience; that doesnā€™t mean my experience is better nowā€¦

I donā€™t think you can compare shipping a wiper blade with replacing a thermostat instead of a radiator fan, then ask your customer to pay for it without any accountability.

It doesnā€™t work out every time and perceptions of a situation obviously vary based on which seat youā€™re in.

Overall MX-5 Parts fairs well via Trustpilot.

Honestly I have always used MX-5 Parts and Boffi as the to go companies for parts for these cars. Without these companies it would be very very sad (and problematic).

I have always used trusted mechanics and a lot of times I have done the job myself (because I am picky) however I have never used MX-5 Parts and Boffi as garages. There are people with much more experience for that kind of jobs.
