My first Mk1 Roadster

Well after years of thinking about it and joining the owners club this month I’ve finally bought one today from another MX-5 owners club member.

Its the model I was wanting and ticked all the boxes.

1991 BRG V- Special in very tidy condition in side and out.  It did the 140 mile drive home Teleford to Pontefract with out any problems.  Apart form the wheels and the clear rear lights it is pretty much standard.

I’ll take some pictures soon, but for now here’s one from the previous owner.

seriously shiny and a pretty mota…no pressure… but gotta take some time to keep it to previous owners standards …go enjoy and get some brake dust on those shiny alloys (not envious) lol

Nice looking car

It is known that the best year for the mx5 was 1991 with the best model being the v-spec, green being the quickest…              …probably [;)]

i saw that report in the sunday sport too, lol

Are there words in the Sport? I never noticed!

Very nice indeed, and welcome to MX5 ownership.

Thank you for your kind comments, I’ll post pictures when weather is better to take some nice on location type shots.

Cheers

He means 1990 but otherwise is spot on - just like your car.  [:D]

While it was dry I took the opportunity to go out for a drive and stopped off to take a couple of pictures.

Well done.  Very clean. With a car like that whatever you paid it will be worth more next year!

   What polish are you using?

Very nice.

Why isn’t your drivers seat torn like mine?! [:@]

Hi

First time out since I’ve had the lowered springs fitted and wheels with new tyres.

Making sure we had enough fuel to get to Mallory Park for the National Rally.

Not long after having the -30mm lowered springs fitted the O/S rear damper burst so the Roadster is off the road for the winter while I save up some money for a new set of uprated shocks.  Also whilst I was changing the wheels over (put the old wheels back on while its in winter storage) I had a quick look under the car and noticed the clutch slave cylinder is leakingRolling eyes, again this will have to wait until the New Year when it will be time for a good service.

Take care all.Big Smile
