My little car

Thoughts turning to Club runs and easing of ‘Lockdown’ restrictions. First a moment of reflection on ‘My Little Car’.

I have a little sports car its called an MX5
No matter what the distance it’s always fun to drive
With top down driving makes this is a fresh air car
Club runs and journeys have been both near and far

In the virus ‘Lockdown’ we’ve not been getting out
The rules for isolation we did not flout
So I’ve cancelled trips and a week long tour
But now the rules are eased I can put my foot t’ floor

It’s a small two seater with a gorgeous exhaust note
There are bigger faster cars but this one gets my vote
Essentially two litres, low weight and a short shift
For fun miles and Club mates its great – you get my drift.

All the best to Norfolk Fives. David-H

Love the poem.

As for club runs, no harm in a few friends going on a socially distant drive together. But the club can not do anything yet as gatherings are still limited to 6 households at present.

Hi Ian.
Just wondered if anyone was ‘out there’. I know that we are waiting on Gov guidelines and HQ before anything can be formally organised.
Take care
